About the Department / Program
The Monash Health Pharmacy Program is one of the largest in Australia, comprising over 550 pharmacy professionals working across acute, specialist and community settings supported by a dedicated Clinical Educator team embedded across all sites to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the Role
Join our team as the Clinical Trials Workforce Development Pharmacist on a part time or full time, ongoing basis, working at Monash Hospital Translation Precinct in Clayton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Pharmacist Team Leader: Clinical Trials, working with the broader pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading education and training for pharmacy staff involved in clinical trials, delivering orientation and personalised support across all Monash Health sites.
Mentoring and developing interns, residents, pharmacists, and technicians to build competence and confidence within their scope of practice, enhancing service delivery and workflow efficiency.
Supporting digital capability by guiding staff in the effective use of EMR, Merlin, and other clinical trial systems.
Championing best practice learning, ensuring education and training programs reflect current standards and foster continuous improvement.
Driving research and quality improvement, contributing to initiatives that elevate clinical trial services and outcomes.
Collaborating with Pharmacy Team Leaders to identify development needs and implement strategies that support individual growth and performance.
This role includes weekends, public holidays, late shifts and on-call, and may require support across other pharmacy services as sites as needed.
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
Demonstrated experience in hospital pharmacy
Clinical education and/or supervision skills and experience
Strong clinical judgement and patient-centred approach to care
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to education, quality improvement and professional development.
Mandatory requirements:
Current registration with AHPRA
