In this role, you'll provide personalised support to people living with Huntington’s Disease and Motor Neurone Disease (MND), helping them maintain independence, dignity, confidence, and quality of life while achieving the goals that matter most to them. What you'll be doing
- Help people maintain independence, confidence, and everyday life skills so they can live life on their own terms.
- Create meaningful moments through community participation, daily routines, and achieving personal goals.
- Provide personalised support that promotes choice, dignity, inclusion, and genuine connection.
- Support people with complex physical and neurological needs while respecting their individual routines, preferences, and abilities.
- Build trusted relationships with the people you support, their families, and your team, making a lasting difference every day.
- Be part of a collaborative team that celebrates progress, shares knowledge, and works together to deliver great outcomes.
You're the Right Person If...
- You have experience supporting people with disability, particularly high care clients, SIL, supported accommodation, or community settings.
- You are able to assist with personal care, manual handling, dysphagia, PEG feeding and medication.
- Experience supporting people with neurological conditions such as Huntington’s Disease or MND is highly regarded.
- You're confident supporting people with complex support needs and can remain calm when situations change.
- You communicate with empathy, professionalism, and respect, building strong relationships with participants and your team.
- You enjoy working collaboratively while also taking initiative and making sound decisions independently.
- You're passionate about helping people maintain independence, choice, dignity, and meaningful lives.
- You have a valid unrestricted Driver’s licence, Reliable Vehicle and holding NDIS worker screening check or Willing to obtain prior to commencement.
- You are available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers).
