The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Supervisor Signals to lead the Signalling team based in Kalgoorlie.
The Role
As the Supervisor Signals, you will lead a team of 8 Signal Technicians and Maintainers, ensuring they maintain designated signalling assets and works as assigned by the Regional Lead.
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a seamless experience through integrated works planning. Working alongside the other disciplines, your supervision of the day-to-day activities of the Signal Maintenance team will ensure work is carried out in a safe, efficient and reliable manner and to a high standard in accordance with Arc’s policies and rail safety management procedures.
As part of this role, you will also be responsible for the following:
- Planning works to meet requirements of the local and wider Maintenance Delivery Team
- Assigning work and organisation of required resources
- Monitoring quality of work and ensuring it’s in accordance with current procedures, codes of practice, standards, operation and maintenance manuals
- Providing leadership, technical direction and support to the team
- Completion and verification of routine maintenance, fault/incident reports and storage of records
- Liaison with third parties on technical interface of activities
- All assigned plant, materials and maintenance spares equipment.
Your strong leadership will be supported by a passion for leading and developing a team of competent technical specialists and fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration and commitment to safety and quality. Having a detailed technical knowledge of rail signalling equipment and systems will support your ability to communicate, engage and drive results from a remote, roaming workforce and establish strong relationships internally and externally will be vital to your success in this role.
To be considered for this position you must hold an unrestricted Electrical trade qualification, have experience in rail signalling maintenance or construction. Previous experience leading a team is also essential.
