Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Financial Investment Adviser to establish and develop its Financial Advisory unit. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing the business plan for the unit, engaging with prospective clients, developing tailored financial plans and investment strategies, and managing client investment portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interviews and Financial Planning:
- Interview prospective clients to determine their financial status, needs, and objectives.
- Discuss financial options and develop customized financial plans and investment strategies.
- Set financial objectives and develop strategies for achieving them.
- Investment Monitoring and Management:
- Monitor investment performance and review investment plans based on changing needs and market conditions.
- Arrange to adjust investment portfolios for clients.
- Advise on investment strategies, sources of funds, and the distribution of earnings.
- Insurance Recommendations:
- Recommend and arrange appropriate insurance cover for clients to protect their assets and investments.
- Superannuation Management:
- Advise clients on managing funds from self managed superannuation funds.
- Assist clients in meeting superannuation compliance requirements.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Co-ordinate the collection of financial, accounting, and investment information.
- Prepare budgets, reports, forecasts, and statutory returns.
- Client Referrals and Additional Services:
- Refer clients to other organisations or professionals to obtain services outlined in financial plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certification as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and investment advisory.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and insurance solutions.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to client confidentiality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 – $195,000.00 per year
