We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and help expand our services and build strong relationships across the NDIS and community services sector.
About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing referral networks and building strong relationships with Support Coordinators, Specialist Support Coordinators, allied health professionals, hospitals, mental health services, plan managers and community organisations.
You will play an important role in increasing awareness of our services and developing sustainable referral pathways while maintaining a strong focus on participant choice, quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the organisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Support Coordinators and referral partners.
- Generate and follow up on participant and service referrals.
- Develop referral pathways with allied health professionals, hospitals, mental health services and community organisations.
- Attend NDIS expos, networking events, conferences and community events.
- Identify new markets, service opportunities and potential partnerships.
- Promote the organisation's NDIS services and capabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of referrals, contacts and business opportunities.
- Manage and regularly update the organisation's CRM/referral database.
- Work closely with management and the operations team to ensure service capacity aligns with business growth.
- Prepare regular business development reports and monitor KPIs.
- Develop marketing and promotional initiatives in collaboration with management.
- Maintain professional relationships with existing referral partners.
- Ensure all business development activities are ethical, professional and consistent with NDIS requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in business development, sales, partnerships or relationship management.
- Experienced in the NDIS, disability, community services, mental health or aged care sector.
- Well connected within the NDIS and community services sector.
- Confident communicating with Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
- A strong networker who enjoys building long-term professional relationships.
- Highly motivated and target-driven.
- Excellent at communication, negotiation and presentation.
- Organised and able to manage multiple opportunities at the same time.
- Professional, reliable and committed to ethical business practices.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a growing team.
Desirable
- Existing relationships with Support Coordinators, Specialist Support Coordinators and allied health professionals.
- Previous experience in an NDIS provider organisation.
- Understanding of NDIS participant pathways and referral processes.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Marketing, Community Services, Disability, Health or a related field.
