About the role
As a Disability Support Worker with CVSS, you may provide support including personal care and daily living assistance, community access and social participation, transport to appointments, activities and community events, and meal preparation and household assistance. You will support participants to work towards their individual goals, promote independence, choice and dignity of risk, provide companionship and meaningful engagement, complete accurate shift notes and required documentation, and follow individual support plans, policies and NDIS requirements.

What You'll Need
- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smartphone with access to email and apps
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Highly Regarded
- Experience with hoisting and manual handling
- Medication assistance competency
- Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or similar
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability, autism, intellectual disability, or complex physical support needs
