Market33 is Hiring! Casual Bakery Assistant – Glenelg South, SA
Are you currently in high school and looking for a great first job?
Market33 is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic high school student to join our bakery team on a casual basis.
No experience needed — we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
This is a great opportunity to earn some extra money, learn real workplace skills and be part of a fun and supportive team.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll help out across the bakery and café, so every shift can be a little different:
- Preparing toasties and other simple food items
- Packing and displaying fresh bread and pastries
- Serving customers and taking orders
- Learning to use our POS system
- Clearing and wiping down tables
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen area tidy
- Restocking products and supplies
- Helping our bakers with simple preparation and packing tasks
- Keeping the shop clean, organised and welcoming
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is
- Currently attending high school
- Friendly, reliable and positive
- Keen to learn and happy to take direction
- Comfortable talking to customers
- Happy to pitch in with cleaning, dishes and general bakery duties
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Available for some after-school, weekend and school holiday shifts
- Interested in food, baking or hospitality
Previous work experience is not required.
