Buchcheri Food is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to support all aspects of the financial operations. This role is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, supporting the importation of product, tracking costs, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and employees are paid correctly each pay cycle.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing business.
This hands-on and varied role is responsible for managing accounts payable, payroll processing, import-related financial administration, cost tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid on time, customer invoices are processed accurately, and employees are paid correctly each pay cycle.
Working closely with our external accounting adviser, sales leadership team, warehouse and distribution staff, and other corporate team members, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the business while gaining exposure to a broad range of commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
· Process supplier invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
· Maintain product SKU records and ensure accurate financial and labelling documentation.
· Support the sales, import, and management teams with financial administration.
· Process end-to-end payroll, including leave management, superannuation, PAYG, and employee record maintenance.
· Ensure employee work rights and employment documentation are current and compliant.
· Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
· Respond to payroll and finance enquiries professionally and confidentially.
· Liaise with import agents to ensure current and new products are compliant and ready for market.
· Assist with cost tracking and reporting related to imported products.
· Support month-end financial processes and reporting requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Accounting qualifications or be currently completing a relevant accounting degree with significant practical experience.
· Experience using accounting systems, particularly MYOB or similar platforms.
· Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, payroll administration, and import-related processes.
· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· A strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
· Experience working with external accounting advisers or accountants.
· An interest in the coffee, food service, or hospitality industries.
Desirable:
· Ability to communicate in Italian.
· Experience in importing, inventory management, or FMCG environments.

Pay: $65,300.97 – $102,845.70 per year
