About us:
The Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit in Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is a central support function that coordinates a range of workforce services for Nurses and Midwives. This includes workforce planning, credentialing, role description review, rostering and leave planning support, agency contract management, recruitment and onboarding activities, management of the rural reliever pool, and stewardship of key nursing and midwifery policies.
About the role:
Coordinate the annual Budget Planning Framework and workforce planning activities to ensure nursing and midwifery resources align with service needs and organisational priorities.
Work with Line Managers and key stakeholders to strengthen workforce planning, resource allocation and service improvement across CQHHS.
Coordinate the review and maintenance of nursing and midwifery role descriptions, ensuring they reflect contemporary practice and organisational requirements.
Contribute to credentialing processes and the Nursing and Midwifery Credentialing Committee, supporting safe and high-quality practice.
Drive quality improvement, policy and workforce projects while promoting education, research and a culture of ongoing workforce development.
About you:
Current AHPRA/NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse; relevant postgraduate qualifications are well regarded.
Proven experience in workforce unit operations, rostering, allocation, HR, resource management and business planning, with a strong understanding of financial and material management.
Ability to use transformational leadership to build workforce capability and engagement, lead innovation and change, and develop systems that support efficient, high-quality nursing care.
Strong knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based practice, with the ability to contribute to policies, standards, quality assurance and initiatives that improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $174,208 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $70.92 - $77.00 p.h.
