Apprentice Chef – Bulli Beach Café
Full-Time Apprenticeship | Hands-On Training | Beachside Venue
Bulli Beach Café is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Apprentice Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is serious about building a career in hospitality and wants to learn in a busy, high-volume kitchen alongside an experienced team of chefs.
We welcome applications from new apprentices looking to begin their cookery apprenticeship, as well as 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices looking for a new opportunity.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Chef, you will work alongside our senior chefs while completing your formal cookery qualification.
You will gain practical experience across all areas of the kitchen, including:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner service
- Food preparation and cooking
- Working across different kitchen sections
- Developing knife skills and cooking techniques
- Plating and presentation
- Food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Learning to work efficiently during busy services
- Developing the skills required to become a qualified chef
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Has a genuine interest in food and becoming a qualified chef
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Takes pride in their work and presentation
- Is willing to listen, learn and take direction
- Understands that hospitality involves early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Is available to work a rotating roster including weekends
Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential for a first-year apprentice. Attitude, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn are most important.
