Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Current qualifications in building and construction including CPC40220 Certificate IV Building and Construction or CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
- TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working in the Vocational Education and Training sector.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite programs and Office 365.
- Experience delivering training to students with barriers to education and training will also be highly regarded.
- Strong computer skills and have experience using virtual platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft teams.
Skills and abilities:
- Recent building and construction industry experience (of at least 1-3 years and current);
- Current technical knowledge related to the National Construction Code and workplace safety legislation;
- CPC40220 Certificate IV Building and Construction or CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent qualifications or have sufficient and current vocational competence that would allow for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process to be completed;
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or approved equivalent;
- Strong relationship building skills with expertise in the effective management of diverse internal and external stakeholder groups;
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively;
- Sound knowledge of operational requirements in relation to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, designing, and delivering engaging and industry-focused training sessions.
- Assessing students' progress and skills through a variety of methods, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Providing personalized feedback and guidance to students to foster their growth and development.
- Collaborating with our curriculum development team to ensure course content remains up-to-date and relevant.
- Maintaining accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and overall performance.
- Staying updated on current business trends and incorporating them into your teaching approach.
