R O L E D E S C R I P T I O N
We are looking for RSA-certified bar staff with strong operational and customer service experience to join our vibrant festival staff team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, our ideal candidates will have experience working within the hospitality and/or arts industry serving customers in a busy environment.
The Casual Bar Staff member is responsible for providing friendly, efficient customer service while preparing and serving beverages in a safe and professional manner. The role involves maintaining a clean and organised bar area, processing customer orders, handling payments, and contributing to a positive customer experience within our Sydney Fringe operated hubs.
K E Y R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S
- Greet customers into our hubs and provide excellent customer service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to venue standards
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments accurately
- Check identification and ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar and service areas
- Restock beverages and supplies as required
- Assist the Venue Manager with opening and closing duties
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation of the venue
- Follow workplace health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

- Previous hospitality, bar, or customer service experience essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Basic cash handling and POS experience desirable
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Have a valid or be willing to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
Pay: $24.95 – $35.00 per hour
