Coogee Diggers is seeking an experienced and driven Licensed Club Venue Manager to lead our venue operations and deliver exceptional service across our restaurant, bar, and events spaces.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a hospitality professional with proven experience managing licensed venues and large teams. You will oversee daily operations, drive performance, and work collaboratively with our Head Chef, Event Manager, and Bar Manager to ensure seamless service and strong financial results.
About the Role
As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all day-to-day venue operations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing staff across multiple departments
- Recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning
- Rostering and effective labour cost management
- Staff performance management and team development
- Stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Overseeing restaurant reservations and service flow
- Ensuring smooth restaurant operations in collaboration with the Head Chef
- Working closely with the Event Manager to deliver successful functions and events
- Supporting the Bar Manager to maintain high service standards and compliance
- Driving customer satisfaction and community engagement
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, WHS, and club regulations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven prior experience as a Venue Manager or Senior Hospitality Manager in a licensed club, pub, or large hospitality venue
- Strong leadership experience in rostering, staff management, and workforce planning
- Demonstrated success in recruitment, team development, and performance management
- Solid understanding of stock control, cost management, and operational systems
- Experience managing restaurant operations and reservations systems
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on management style with strong attention to detail
- Current RSA and RCG (essential)
