To successfully cater to our vast and loyal customer base, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Sheetmetal Worker to join our team.

Skills, Licencing & Experience:
To be successful in this role you will require all of the following:
- Trade Qualifications equivalent to Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Sheetmetal Working) or adequate experience to substitute these qualifications (see below).
- Minimum 1-year full-time experience as an Sheetmetal Worker or relevant occupation. Minimum 3 years full-time experience if no formal qualification.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and loyalty.
- Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate full commitment to workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion to provide top service to all customers.
- Ability to efficiently manage assigned priorities and always remain respectful to colleagues and supervisors.
Job Description:
As part of your employment, you will be required to complete the following tasks and duties, categorised in their respective sections:
Field Work
- Review job drawings, specifications and site measurements to determine ducting and sheetmetal material, fabrication and installation requirements for air conditioning and refrigeration projects.
- Select and check appropriate sheetmetal stock (including galvanised iron, stainless steel and aluminium) against project specifications for ductwork, flashings and mounting components.
- Mark out and measure sheetmetal stock using templates and measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication of ducting and associated components.
- Cut sheetmetal stock to size using hand and power shears, guillotines, drills and other cutting equipment as required for ducting and installation components.
- Shape and form cut sheetmetal into ducting, brackets and fittings using folding, bending and rolling equipment in accordance with project drawings.
- Fit and assemble fabricated sheetmetal components, including joining and sealing ductwork and mounting brackets, to prepare for on-site installation.
- Finish fabricated components by cleaning, filing and preparing surfaces to ensure a professional standard suitable for client sites.
- Install fabricated ducting, brackets and sheetmetal components on-site in support of air conditioning and refrigeration plant installations.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to existing sheetmetal ducting and components as required during service and maintenance visits.
- Maintain job worksheets detailing materials used, time expended and work performed via job management software.
- Remove and dispose of offcuts and waste generated during fabrication and installation, ensuring client sites are left clean and tidy.
Health & Safety – you must contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by:
- Reporting all accidents and hazards.
- Avoiding unsafe work practices at work.
- Meeting National Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and also complying with strategies and goals of the Company WHS Manual.
Other
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a record of time expended, and type of work performed.
- Any other ad hoc tasks that arise at the request of management.
