WSBR Pty Ltd is a professional building and renovation company delivering quality construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
The successful applicant will perform carpentry work across a range of building, renovation, refurbishment and maintenance projects. The Carpenter must be able to work independently and collaboratively with other trades and site personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Study and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements.
- Select and order timber and other materials and prepare project layouts.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials.
- Construct and install wall, floor and roof framing.
- Install flooring, doors, windows, external cladding, fascia panels, fixtures and fittings.
- Complete internal fit-outs, renovations, repairs and general carpentry work.
- Check completed structures and installations for accuracy, alignment and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve carpentry and construction issues as they arise.
- Coordinate effectively with other trades, supervisors and site personnel.
- Ensure work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant trade qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant carpentry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in framing, fit-outs, renovations, installations and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Current Australian driver’s licence preferred.
- Construction white card required
