Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Avionics Technician or Aviation Tradesperson to transition their technical expertise into a rewarding training and mentoring role supporting the
RAAF C-27J Spartan fleet.
This is an opportunity to pass on your knowledge and experience to the next generation of Defence aviation maintainers while remaining closely connected to an operational aviation environment.
About the Role
You'll deliver both classroom and practical training to aircraft maintenance personnel, helping students develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to succeed in a Defence aviation environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver technical aircraft maintenance training in classroom and practical environments.
- Assess student competency and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Prepare and deliver training and assessments in accordance with approved programs.
- Maintain and continuously improve courseware, learning materials and training resources.
- Support students throughout their learning journey and ensure training outcomes are achieved.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Work closely with Defence personnel and industry stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the training environment.
About You
We're looking for an experienced aviation professional who enjoys
sharing knowledge, developing people and helping others succeed.
You'll ideally have:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Mechanical or Avionics.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices and systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance.
- A genuine interest in training, coaching and mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals.
Highly Regarded
- Defence aviation experience.
- Experience working with the C-27J Spartan or similar Defence aircraft.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
- Previous experience delivering technical training or mentoring apprentices/engineers.
