About Melaleuca Therapies:
Melaleuca Therapies provides Allied Health services across the Gove Peninsula and wider East Arnhem Land. We are a collaborative team committed to Integrity, Collaboration and Respect, working closely with local services and the East Arnhem Kids Hub.
About the Role:
As Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, culturally responsive Occupational Therapy services, primarily supporting children and young people aged 0–18 years, with some adult casework.
You will:
Provide assessment, intervention and consultancy
Support child development and functional outcomes
Provide mentoring to Occupational Therapists and supervision to students and Allied Health Assistants
Prepare reports for families, schools, NDIS and other providers
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and local services
Travel to remote communities by light plane and 4WD, including occasional overnight stays
About You:
Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
Paediatric experience or a strong interest in paediatrics
Excellent communication, clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
Culturally respectful and confident working with diverse communities
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Experience in remote practice, disability, NDIS, neurodiversity-affirming practice or transdisciplinary models will be highly regarded.
