Yarra Plenty Waves is one of the most successful community swimming clubs in Melbourne's north and has been helping local swimmers achieve their goals for more than 50 years.
As the competitive pathway of Yarra Swim School, our club supports swimmers from their first races through to regional, state and national competition. Just as importantly, we're committed to helping every swimmer build confidence, resilience, friendships and a lifelong love of the sport.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Coach who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive difference, both in and out of the pool.
Working alongside our Head Coach and coaching team, you'll help deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions that support swimmers of different ages and abilities.
This is an opportunity to develop your coaching skills in a supportive environment while helping swimmers reach their individual goals.
assisting with squad coaching and training sessions

supporting swimmers to improve their skills, confidence and performance

You'll enjoy helping young swimmers improve and celebrate their achievements, whether that's qualifying for a championship or simply swimming their best race.
You're reliable, approachable and enjoy working as part of a team. Most importantly, you're passionate about helping swimmers enjoy the sport and reach their potential.
You'll ideally have:
coaching experience or a strong swimming background
current CPR and First Aid qualifications
Working with Children Check
relevant coaching accreditation or willingness to obtain
