About the Opportunity
Lux Events is seeking an experienced Senior Video Technician with highly specialised technical expertise and experience in advanced video systems, signal distribution and complex live-event video production.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project design concepts and provide specialist advice regarding video system design and systems integration.
- Configure, install, test and operate complex live-event video systems.
- Provide specialist technical expertise in video control, processing, projection, LED display systems, broadcast cameras and video networking.
- Work closely with production managers and technical production teams to deliver the project requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex video, signal-distribution and systems-integration issues during preparation and live operation.
- Assist the wider technical team by transferring specialist technical knowledge relevant to the project.
- A strong focus on workplace health and safety and safe operation of technical equipment.
- Working non-traditional hours including weekends and nights.
Required Specialist Skills and Experience
- Five years' professional experience working with projection systems, LED screens, broadcast cameras, video networking and signal distribution.
- Advanced knowledge of Barco E2 (preferred) or similar control systems.
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, troubleshoot and operate complex video systems in live production environments.
- Experience with Disguise, Modulo Pi, Pixera, Pandoras or similar media-server platforms
- Strong understanding of video signal formats, routing, processing, networking and systems integration.
- Relevant technical qualifications, certifications or industry experience will be highly regarded.
