We’re looking for a Commercial & AI Business Analyst to join our Finance team, combining two accountabilities that reinforce each other: applying AI to remove manual effort and rework across the business, and protecting pricing integrity and margin through strong commercial governance. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to our CFO, ideal for someone who’s as comfortable interrogating a partner deal as they are scoping an AI-enabled process fix.
- Find opportunities across the business where AI can save time or reduce manual work, and build a prioritised plan for tackling them
- Look at how a process currently works before automating it, fixing any gaps first so automation doesn’t just speed up a broken process
- Deliver quick, practical improvements that aren’t already being handled by the Development team, such as speeding up port-out processing, reporting tasks and admin-heavy workflows
- Build a clear case for each improvement, weighing up cost against benefit, and track whether it actually delivers the value promised
- Run practical AI training sessions, helping teams get their processes and data ready to work well with AI tools
- Manage the end-to-end process for approving customer discounts, making sure the right approvals and paperwork are in place
- Approve discounts within set limits, and escalate anything above that to the right person
- Keep our pricebook accurate and consistent, including pricing, currency conversion rules and product bundles across Australia, New Zealand and the UK
- Review partner deals, vendor contracts and pricing changes to assess whether they make good commercial sense
- Build financial models and clear write-ups to help Sales, Product and Exec teams make informed decisions
- Work closely with the central AI team so our AI projects stay aligned with company-wide standards and strategy
- 5+ years’ experience across business analysis, commercial management or pricing, with genuine BA skills including problem breakdown and process mapping
- Demonstrated delivery of at least one AI or automation improvement in a business context, with a named process and a quantified before and after outcome
- Strong commercial acumen and a sound understanding of pricing mechanics and margin drivers (you don’t need to be an accountant, but you need to know what makes a deal profitable and what good commercials look like)
- A naturally curious mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo and bringing stakeholders along on the journey rather than dictating from the sidelines
- Proactive by default, not reactive; someone who’ll talk to teams, understand their pain points and drive change without waiting to be asked
- Hands-on experience operating a pricing, discount governance or commercial approval framework
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; comfortable with BI tools and data platforms
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills, including at Exec level
