The Cathedral School of St Anne & St James is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Information Technology Officer to join our dedicated ICT team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys solving problems, working with people, and supporting innovative learning environments. Working across our Early Learning Centre, Junior School, Middle School, Senior School, Boarding and Administration areas, you will play a key role in ensuring the School's technology systems operate efficiently and effectively.
About the Role
Reporting to the IT Manager and working closely with the Director of ICT, you will provide frontline technical support to staff and students while assisting with the deployment, maintenance and management of the School's technology infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional help desk support to staff, students and parents.
- Supporting Windows, macOS and iOS devices.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
- Managing user accounts and access permissions.
- Maintaining classroom technology, including interactive displays and presentation systems.
- Assisting with device deployment and management through Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.
- Supporting technology projects, upgrades and new system implementations.
- Maintaining accurate asset management records.
- Researching and implementing emerging technologies that enhance teaching and learning.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Experience supporting Windows, macOS and iOS environments.
- Sound troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
- Eligibility to obtain or hold a current Blue Card.
- Experience in a customer-facing IT support environment, educational technology, audio-visual systems, Microsoft 365, Intune and Jamf Pro will be highly regarded.
