About the Role
This role performs routine kitchen hand duties in the aged care industry, which may include working as part of a team to meet meal expectations for our residents. As a Kitchen Hand, you will be a part of our Jimbelunga Environmental Services team, with a high focus on maintaining a hygienic, safe kitchen environment while supporting our food service delivery.
Duties
Assist with food preparation, meal plating and meal service to residents.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Receive and store food supplies in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Complete cleaning schedules and food safety documentation.
- Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality hospitality services to residents.
- Follow all workplace health, safety and infection control requirements.

- Starting base rate is $29.98 per hour (depends on qualification and experience).
- Additional 12% Super + Not-for-profit salary packaging (Increases your take home pay).
- Permanent Part-time basis, working 06:00am to 1:30pm.

- Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged.
Requirement
- Highly Desirable Certificate in hospitality/ cookery or equivalent and aged care experience (Kitchen hand and server).
- Reliability and shift flexibility.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Basic computer skills.
- Working rights in Australia.
- NDIS worker clearance (yellow card) or eligible to apply.
- Flu shot 2026.
