As our Maintenance Officer at Salford Waters in Victoria Point, you'll help keep our village safe, well maintained and welcoming for residents. You'll have plenty of variety, from preventative maintenance and minor repairs to working with contractors and responding to day-to-day maintenance requests.
Permanent full-time | Monday to Friday | Up to $39 per hour
You'll also occasionally step in to drive the village bus when our regular driver is unavailable, so a current MR licence (minimum) is essential.

What You Will Be Working On
You'll take care of day-to-day and preventative maintenance across Salford Waters, helping keep the village safe, functional and looking its best.
Your work will include:
- Completing general maintenance and minor repairs across village buildings, facilities and common areas.
- Responding to maintenance requests and identifying potential issues early.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinating contractors and specialist trades when required.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and monitoring tools and supplies.
- Supporting a safe environment and following WHS requirements.
- Building positive, respectful relationships with residents and keeping them informed.
- Driving the village bus occasionally when the regular driver is unavailable.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
You'll be practical, reliable and comfortable working independently while being part of a close-knit village team.
You'll bring:
- Hands-on experience in property, facilities, building or general maintenance.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to undertake minor repairs safely.
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- The ability to organise your workload and respond to changing priorities.
- A friendly and respectful approach when working with residents.
- Basic computer skills for recording and tracking maintenance activities.
- A current MR driver's licence or higher – essential.
- A trade or maintenance-related qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential.
