About the role

The Senior Manager, Workplace Experience leads the strategic direction of workplace, accommodation and organisational resilience initiatives across the Ministry of Health and co-located agencies. The role drives the design of contemporary workplaces, workplace experience outcomes, organisational preparedness and business continuity capability to support the delivery of NSW Health priorities.
The role is responsible for driving long-term workplace strategy, workplace experience initiatives, technology-enabled solutions, data-driven decision-making and organisational resilience, supported by expertise in workplace and facilities management. The position also leads the strategic governance, planning and continuous improvement of the Ministry of Health’s Business Continuity Management framework, ensuring organisational preparedness, resilience and continuity of critical services, while aligning workplace and continuity outcomes with organisational objectives and whole-of-government priorities.
Provide leadership and expert advice to executives and senior stakeholders on workplace strategy, organisational resilience and future workforce accommodation requirements.

What you will be doing

Lead and deliver the Ministry's workplace experience strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, workforce needs and contemporary workplace and facilities management practices.

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for workplace experience, facilities, accommodation, front-of-house, events and business continuity functions, building capability and fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Provide strategic oversight of workplace accommodation, facilities, front-of-house and events services, driving integrated outcomes that enhance employee experience, operational effectiveness and organisational performance.

Lead future workplace planning, including accommodation, workplace design, technology enablement, flexibility initiatives and co-location opportunities to support a modern, adaptable and productive workforce.

Establish governance, performance measures and reporting frameworks, using data, insights and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement, inform decision-making and optimise workplace outcomes.

Build and maintain effective relationships with Ministry executives, NSW Health entities, government agencies, service providers and other key stakeholders, using influence and negotiation skills to drive strategic outcomes and service excellence.

Oversee vendor performance, contracts, budgets and service delivery arrangements to ensure value for money, quality outcomes and alignment with organisational priorities.

Provide strategic leadership of the Ministry's Business Continuity Management framework, ensuring organisational resilience, preparedness, risk management and compliance, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual who can support the work of NSW Health with:

Demonstrated senior leadership experience in developing and delivering enterprise-wide workplace, facilities, accommodation, workplace experience or organisational resilience strategies within a complex and highly regulated environment.

Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, building capability, fostering engagement and creating a high-performance culture that delivers customer-focused and sustainable organisational outcomes.

Proven ability to influence and partner with executives and key stakeholders, using data, insights and contemporary best practice to drive strategic initiatives, governance, service excellence and sustainable business outcomes.

Experience leading large-scale workplace transformation, aligning workplace strategy, service delivery, technology and evolving workforce needs to optimise workplace experience and organisational performance.

Strong track record of providing strategic leadership and governance, balancing organisational resilience, risk management, compliance, customer experience and financial sustainability while fostering high-performing teams and a culture of continuous improvement.
