Position: Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Finance Manager
Location: Multi Dynamic Head Office
Position Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of Multi Dynamic, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements, supporting franchise financial administration, and assisting management with budgeting and business performance.
The role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism while supporting the continued growth of the Multi Dynamic Network.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and company accounts.
- Process journals and month-end adjustments.
- Monitor company cash flow and financial performance.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and payments.
- Issue customer invoices.
- Monitor outstanding debts and follow up overdue accounts.
- Reconcile debtor and creditor balances.
Payroll
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records.
- Calculate leave entitlements and superannuation.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and lodge BAS.
- Prepare IAS where required.
- Assist with GST compliance.
- Maintain ATO compliance.
- Assist external accountants during annual tax preparation.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Monitor departmental budgets.
- Produce management reports.
- Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations.
Franchise Support
- Monitor franchise royalty payments.
- Reconcile franchise fees.
- Assist franchise offices with finance enquiries.
- Prepare financial reports for Head Office.
Systems & Record Keeping
- Maintain Xero and other accounting systems.
- Ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
- Maintain secure electronic filing systems.
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes.
Compliance Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Follow company financial policies.
- Comply with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Comply with taxation legislation.
- Support AML/CTF compliance where applicable.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Experience using Xero.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
- Experience in the real estate industry.
- Experience with Property Tree or similar trust accounting software.
- Franchise accounting experience.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
