Sport Star Academy is expanding into Melbourne’s south-east and looking for passionate, energetic and reliable Cricket Coaches to join our growing team.
You’ll deliver fun, structured cricket programs for children aged approximately 5–17 years, helping develop their skills, confidence, fitness and love of the game.
This is an exciting opportunity to join SSA at the beginning of our Victorian growth journey, delivering programs through schools and local venues.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured cricket sessions for children
- Teach batting, bowling, fielding and game awareness
- Follow SSA coaching programs and session plans
- Develop children across different ability levels
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive environment
- Build confidence, teamwork, discipline and sporting ability
- Communicate professionally with students, parents and SSA
- Provide feedback on student development
- Represent SSA professionally at partner schools and venues
Requirements
- Genuine passion for cricket and working with children
- Previous cricket coaching, playing or sports instruction experience desirable
- 2+ years' coaching experience preferred, but not essential
- Cricket coaching qualification preferred but not essential
- Strong playing experience highly regarded
- Valid WWCC or willingness to obtain
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Weekday after-school availability, typically 3:00pm–5:30pm
- Saturday & Sunday morning/afternoon availability highly desirable
- Reliable transport preferred
