Chef / Cook – New BAKE’D Merrylands Location

BAKE’D Sydney is opening a new location in Merrylands, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and confident working in a fast-paced café kitchen. You’ll be responsible for preparing and executing our menu while maintaining BAKE’D standards for quality, presentation and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to BAKE’D recipes and standards
- Manage your section during busy service periods
- Ensure consistent portioning, presentation and food quality
- Complete daily food preparation and mise en place
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
- Assist with stock rotation, labelling and storage
- Minimise food waste and maintain portion control
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy café or restaurant
- Strong breakfast and brunch experience preferred
- Confident working on grill, pans and other kitchen sections
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
- High attention to food quality and presentation
- Weekend and public holiday availability is essential
