The opportunity
Our Finance Expenditure Team is on the search for a self-motivated Procurement Specialist to join their Procurement Team! You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of all Expression of Interests (EOI), Request for Tenders (RFT), and Request for Quotations (RFQ), with a major focus on achieving true value for money for our Local Government Area. In this role, you will create our procurement tools for the orgainisation to purchase necessary goods and services, safely ensuring compliance with regulations while managing the ongoing performance and lifecycle of Council’s contracted supplies. Your collaboration with internal employees will be essential in understanding their needs, which is why a highly collaborative, customer-first approach is key. Strong computer literacy is vital, and while a finance background is a wonderful bonus, complete on-the-job training will be provided for our specific systems.

- This is a permanent full-time opportunity – working 35 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $90,888 - $106,927 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,562 retention allowance
- Total Remuneration Package Range: $104,665 - $122,629 (inc. superannuation + retention allowance)
- You will be working from PSC Administration Building, Raymond Terrace

- A degree qualification in Procurement or a related field or several years of experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislation relevant to the position, including, Local Government Act and Regulation
- Demonstrated experience in Procurement, with specific reference to RFQ, EOI, RFT processes along with Contract management
