Position Overview
The Minor Works Supervisor will be responsible for quoting and managing minor works projects, and for engaging and managing external subcontractors to deliver works across multiple trade disciplines. The role also carries commercial responsibility for driving sales and profit growth, and for growing Ashton Lloyd’s existing client base to help achieve these targets.
You will manage contracts for service delivery in line with contract KPIs and client expectations, overseeing all stages of project delivery: scope definition, production of scope of works, design, tendering, construction, commissioning, handover, and the defects liability period.
This is a full-time position of 38 ordinary hours per week, plus any reasonable additional hours necessary to fulfil your duties or as otherwise required by the Employer. Working hours fall between 7.00am and 6.00pm, as determined by the Employer. You are entitled to leave, including annual, personal/carer’s in accordance with the relevant award or the National Employment Standards, as applicable.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
- Drive sales activity and contribute to achieving agreed profit and growth targets for minor works.
- Grow and develop Ashton Lloyd’s existing client base, identifying opportunities for repeat and additional work to support these targets.
Project & Contract Management
- Quote minor works projects and maintenance jobs as required, with a focus on value for money.
- Lead, direct and motivate contractors.
- Ensure client contracts achieve operational efficiency and meet KPIs.
- Oversee coordination and allocation of work across all jobs under your management.
- Engage and coordinate subcontractors as required.
- Schedule Internal trades when required
- Project manage minor works and coordinate smaller maintenance jobs, whether self-quoted or allocated by other managers.
- Ensure jobs are invoiced accurately and on time on completion.
- Ensure all jobs are properly recorded in Ashton Lloyd’s systems, including raising, scheduling and keeping jobs up to date in the applicable operating systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct toolbox talks and pre-start meetings at all minor works projects.
- Complete random site inspections.
- Undertake site inspections and audits as required, in line with company objectives.
- Ensure contractors working on site are compliant and fully inducted per client expectations, with correct safety paperwork, PPE and procedures followed.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum: Certificate VI in Project Management, or a minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in project management and minor works.
Preferred: A trade background, with demonstrated experience managing subcontractors.

- Strong IT skills, including MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred
- Self-motivated, with a “can-do” attitude
Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
