This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, energetic and customer-focused individual to contribute to a valued community service while being part of a supportive and positive team.
You will be required to be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:45am and 10:45am. Additional hours may be available during staff leave across Naturaliste Community Centre and also the Geographe Leisure Centre.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising and caring for children in a safe and nurturing environment
- Delivering fun, interactive and stimulating activities for children of various ages
- Building positive relationships with parents and responding to enquiries professionally
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming crèche environment
- Following and implementing crèche policies, procedures and safety requirements
- Recording incidents, accidents and required documentation
- Contributing ideas to enhance programs and improve service delivery
As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working with children and the ability to engage positively with all ages
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to follow procedures, work collaboratively and take direction effectively
Pre-employment requirements:
- A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
- A current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Proof of right to work in Australia
