In this role, you'll:
As the Senior Manager, Application Operations, you will lead the operational performance, service assurance and continuous improvement of a portfolio of critical enterprise applications, with a strong focus on SAP and integrated enterprise platforms.
A key focus of the role will be leading a blended operating model comprising internal application specialists, service management teams and strategic delivery partners.
You will build high-performing teams, establish clear accountability across internal and external support functions, and drive strong collaboration to deliver reliable, customer-focused services.
You will also govern a multi-vendor support environment, holding service providers accountable for operational performance, contractual commitments, service levels and continuous improvement outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Transport, you will ensure technology services align with business priorities, manage operational risk and deliver measurable business value.
Lead the operational management and continual improvement of SAP and enterprise application services.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary internal teams while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus.
Establish clear operating rhythms and governance across internal teams and external service providers to deliver end-to-end service outcomes.
Drive performance across both Transport-managed teams and outsourced partners, ensuring accountability for service quality, reliability and business outcomes.
Drive vendor performance through strong governance, service management disciplines and contractual accountability.
Oversee key IT processes such as incident and problem management, to ensure compliance, service reliability and business continuity.
Ensure operational readiness and supportability of new initiatives before production deployment.

About you
You are a senior technology operations leader with deep expertise managing large-scale enterprise application environments, particularly SAP platforms. You have successfully led both internal operational teams and external managed service providers, creating high-performing trusted partnerships that deliver reliable, secure and business-critical services at scale.
Significant experience leading SAP application operations, support and service delivery within large and complex organisations.
Proven experience leading both internal application support teams and external managed service providers within a complex enterprise environment.
Demonstrated success building accountability frameworks and performance cultures across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong vendor, commercial and contract management experience, with the ability to influence and challenge partners to achieve service and business outcomes.
Strong technical and operational understanding of SAP landscapes and enterprise application ecosystems.
Experience operating within complex stakeholder environments where delivery depends on collaboration across multiple internal and external groups.
