Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract to September 2027
The Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 is seeking a highly organised and proactive Tournament Services Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of accommodation, transport, visa services, hospitality, and operational readiness for teams, officials, VIPs, and guests.
Reporting to the Tournament Services Manager, you will play a critical role both behind the scenes and on the ground, ensuring tournament services are delivered seamlessly from planning through to event-time operations.
Visa Coordination
- Work with government partners to identify appropriate visa pathways for various stakeholder groups.
- Prepare clear visa communications and guidance materials for Teams, Match Officials, and VIPs.
Accommodation Coordination

Liaise with the Accommodation team and assist in gathering and reviewing hotel requirements from competing Teams and key stakeholder groups.
- Assist in creating Site Operating Plans, and back-of-house operational workflows for official tournament hotels, as part of operational Readiness and alignment on service levels.
- Facilitate site visits and handle last-minute rooming or operational adjustments smoothly.
Transport & Airport Coordination

Coordinate ground transport movements for Teams, Officials, and VIPs across official locations.
- Assist the Transport Manager in creating vehicle schedules, driver allocations, and dispatch plans.
- Support the setting up of airport Arrivals & Departures operations, including facilitation of Meet & Greet for multiple client groups.
Documentation & Operational Support

Support the Tournament Services Manager in monitoring project plans, risks, issues, and milestones across functional areas.
- Develop and maintain key operational documentation, including Functional Area Operating Plans (FAOPs), policies, and checklists.
- Contribute to Transport Management Plans, procedures, route mapping, and fleet tracking.
- Deliver hands-on operational support across all service areas during the tournament period to ensure seamless daily execution, supporting issue resolution for clients and volunteers.
Workforce & Volunteer Support

Coordinate Tournament Services workforce and volunteer requirements based on daily operational needs.
- Lead the development and delivery of functional training materials and briefing packs for tournament staff and volunteers.
- Manage shift rosters, task delegation, team wellbeing, and deliver briefings/debriefs for on-site teams.
- 2+ years in major event operations, sports administration, or project coordination with combined planning and on-ground delivery experience.
- Demonstrated experience in back-of-house event logistics (accommodation & transport), and multi-stakeholder service delivery under tight deadlines.
- Strong track record preparing operational documentation, FAOPs, schedules, and briefings with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build effective relationships and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how sporting Teams operate is advantageous
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

This is a full-time role, based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of LOC HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time.

The Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 (NWC) is the pinnacle tournament for the sport and occurs every four years. It brings the top 16 teams in the world together over 12 days, with teams competing across pool stages and finals to be crowned World Champion. In 2027, the NWC will be held in Sydney, Australia from 25 August to 5 September.
