About Boian Night Chemist:
Since 1970, Boian Night Chemist has provided extended hours care and individualised attention to the health needs of customers in Sydney's St. George area. Dedicated on-site pharmacists are available as an initial reference in emergency medical situations, to advise on personal health concerns, provide specific medication information or dispense prescriptions daily from 9.00 am to 10.30pm.
About the role:
We are hiring Pharmacist and/or Pharmacist-In-Charge to complete the following shifts. Will suit Pharmacist looking for extra hours and stability.
- Pharmacist in Charge for Community Retail Shop: Alternating Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm, with potential to extend hours as per business need.
Oversee the supply and sale of medicines, therapeutic devices and non-pharmacy products, and the provision pf all pharmacy services.
Duties may include:
Supply medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations and guidelines.
This includes, but not limited to:
- Dispensing prescription medicines (including medicine counselling)
- Supplying Pharmacist Only Medicines
- Supervising and assisting with supply of Pharmacy Medicines, unscheduled medicines and health products
Provide professional pharmacy services, including, but not limited to:
- does administration aids
- staged supply
- opioid substitution therapy
- monitoring and case detection services
- disease state management services
- health promotion
- home medicine review
- medicine adherence services
Report all dispensing errors and near misses, or any breach of ethics
Ensure PBS and other Medicare claims are prepared
Maintain dispensary stock, including stock rotation, ordering and expiry-date checking.
Be available to other staff members, where requested, to assist in customer service
Security
- Maintain Pharmacy security, including the secure opening and closing of the pharmacy as required
- Maintain security of medicines in accordance with legislative requirements
Business Management
- Computer housekeeping and back-ups to be performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Maintain appropriate ethical standards in relation to the pharmacy
Essential:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- ACOP and MMR Credentialed (Desirable)
Pay: From $52.18 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5.0 per week
