We are currently seeking a Dental Technician to join our supportive and close-knit Finishing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in metal or acrylic work who is eager to further develop their skills and receive training in ceramics and advanced dental prosthetics.
We’re currently in Mulgrave but will be relocating to Braeside in the next two months.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and finishing of dental restorations.
- Perform hand-finishing, polishing, and quality checks on dental prostheses.
- Work with metal acrylic and ceramic components as part of the restoration manufacturing process.
- Train in ceramic techniques including layering, staining, glazing, texturing, and finishing of restorations.
- Support the production of highly aesthetic dental restorations that closely match natural tooth anatomy and shade.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians and the broader team to continuously improve product quality and patient outcomes.
Your Profile
- A Diploma in Dental Technology or relevant industry experience.
- Experience working with metal, acrylic, dentures, crowns and bridges, or similar dental laboratory processes.
- A strong interest in developing a career in ceramic restorations and dental aesthetics.
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for shape, colour, texture, and natural tooth anatomy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for ongoing training and professional development.
Location
- This role is currently based in Mulgrave, with free on-site parking available.
- Osteon Medical will be relocating to our new Braeside facility within the next 1-2 months.
- Successful candidates will need to be able to commute to Mulgrave during the transition period, before moving to our new Braeside location.
