Job Description: As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic at OCM, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy diesel vehicles, light vehicles & equipment. Your role will involve diagnosing mechanical issues, performing necessary repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring the overall efficiency and reliability of our customers vehicles & equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Perform diagnostic tests on diesel equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
· Conduct regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
· Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as needed.
· Complete job cards and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
· Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
· Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to improve equipment performance.
· Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in heavy diesel technology.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
· Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
· Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to think quickly & use outside of the box thinking to come up with solutions.
· Certificate in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
