About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with complex medical conditions and significant physical disabilities, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, safety, dignity, and quality of life.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- At least 6–12 months of nursing experience, preferably caring for people with complex health or disability needs.
- Experience caring for clients with quadriplegia or very limited mobility.
- Experience supporting people with:
- Quadriplegia
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrome
- Epilepsy
- Experience or knowledge in:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator care and management
- PEG feeding and enteral nutrition
- Seizure and epilepsy management
- Medication administration
- Personal care and hygiene
- Manual handling, transfers and repositioning
- Pressure injury prevention and pressure care
- Bowel and bladder care
- Activities of daily living
- Good clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with clients, families, support workers, doctors, allied health professionals and other healthcare staff.
- A caring and respectful approach to providing safe, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
- Provide safe and high-quality nursing care to clients with complex health and disability needs.
- Provide clinical care such as:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator management
- PEG feeding
- Seizure management
- Medication administration
- Assist clients with personal care while maintaining their dignity, comfort and independence.
- Safely assist with transfers, manual handling, repositioning and pressure care.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns.
- Respond appropriately to health emergencies when required.
- Complete accurate nursing notes and clinical documentation.
- Work closely with families, support workers and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow all relevant nursing, workplace health and safety, and organisational policies and procedures.

Pay: $79,423.00 – $100,000.00 per year
