Pearl Home Care Greater Parramatta is looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team.
As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised support to clients in their own homes and communities, helping them maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support based on each client's individual needs, preferences, goals and care plan.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and support with dignity and respect.
- Assisting clients with showering, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities.
- Providing domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and household tasks.
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and light cooking.
- Assisting with medication reminders in accordance with the client's care plan and organisational policies.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting clients to attend appointments, shopping and social activities.
- Providing transport and community access where required.
- Assisting clients to maintain their independence and participate in their local community.
- Supporting clients with mobility and safe movement around their home.
- Following individual care plans and reporting changes in a client's condition or circumstances.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and required documentation.
- Communicating effectively with families, Care Partners, Nurses and other members of the care team.
- Respecting each client's culture, preferences, privacy and choices.
- Following all workplace health and safety, infection control, safeguarding and compliance requirements.
- Reporting incidents, concerns and changes in client needs promptly.
- Working collaboratively with the Pearl Home Care team to deliver high-quality care.
About You
We are looking for people who are kind, dependable, respectful and genuinely passionate about helping others.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Aged Care Worker, Support Worker, Personal Care Worker, Disability Support Worker or Community Support Worker.
- Experience working with older people or people living with disability is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for providing person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient and respectful approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good observation and reporting skills.
- Ability to follow care plans, policies and procedures.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- A professional and positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and undertake ongoing training.
Qualifications & Checks
The following are highly desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in aged care or community care.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:
- Australian National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, where applicable
- First Aid & CPR
- Australian working rights
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance where transport is required.
