Compass Group's ESS business delivers world-class support services to remote mining camps, offshore facilities, and resource-sector operations across Australia. We're seeking an experienced Manager People & Culture to take ownership of our Living Working Services West (LWSW) portfolio, to partner with senior leaders and drive the people strategy that enables business growth, workforce capability, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the General Manager People, you will be a trusted advisor to General Managers and senior operational leaders, providing strategic people leadership across a large, complex workforce.
This is a high-impact role where you'll shape workforce strategy, influence key business decisions, lead organisational change initiatives, and drive a high-performance culture across a geographically dispersed operation.
- Support the Living and Working Services (LWS) West division
- Partnering with senior leaders to align people strategies with operational and commercial priorities.
- Lead workforce planning, succession, organisational design, and talent initiatives.
- Provide direction and strategic advice on leadership effectiveness, culture, and organisational performance.
- Drive people outcomes through workforce mobilisations, growth projects, transformations, and continuous improvement.
- Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters while managing organisational risk.
- Use people insights, data, and market intelligence to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Champion engagement, inclusion, wellbeing, and leadership capability across the business.
You are a commercially minded People & Culture Leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. On occasion be willing to business travel out to remote client sites.
You'll bring:
- Significant Senior HR Business Partnering or People & Culture Management experience within complex, fast-paced environments.
- Proven success partnering with GMs and Executive Leaders to deliver business outcomes through people strategies.
- Strong experience leading organisational change, workforce transitions, restructures, and transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of employee and industrial relations frameworks.
- Experience working within operational, multi-site, service-based, resources, logistics, hospitality, or blue-collar environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and coaching capability.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, OD or a related discipline.
