Senior Hairdresser / Senior Stylist

Studio Brondie is a modern, fast-growing boutique salon in Nerang on the Gold Coast, specialising in lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, balayage, extensions and luxury client experiences.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Hairdresser / Senior Stylist to join our friendly and supportive team.
About the Role
- This position is suited to a qualified and experienced hairdresser who is confident working independently, delivering advanced hairdressing services and providing expert consultations, while contributing to Studio Brondie’s high professional standards and premium client experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide professional hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, treatments and blow drying.
- Conduct detailed client consultations and recommend suitable hairstyles, colours, treatments and home hair care solutions.
- Perform advanced colouring services including balayage, foiling, colour corrections and lived-in colour techniques.
- Perform hair extension services and other specialised hairdressing treatments where required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and customer service.
- Maintain accurate client records, colour formulas and service notes.
- Assist in maintaining high standards of salon presentation, hygiene, workplace safety and service consistency.
- Support and guide junior team members and apprentices by sharing knowledge, techniques and industry best practices where required.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate stock levels of salon products and supplies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the salon when required.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, products, techniques and emerging hairdressing practices.
- Consistently deliver high-quality services and contribute positively to Studio Brondie’s professional reputation and client experience.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant Hairdressing qualification or trade certificate, such as Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant salon experience.
- Strong experience across cutting, colouring, foiling and styling.
- Experience in advanced colouring techniques, including balayage and lived-in colour.
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded.
- Strong communication, consultation and customer service skills.
- Reliable, professional and confident working independently.
- Ability to work positively as part of a team and support junior team members where required.
- Australian working rights or an appropriate visa with work rights.
- Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday, including regular Saturday work.
