Casual Receptionist (Ongoing – A Few Shifts Per Week)
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and organised Casual Receptionist to join our team for a few shifts each week on an ongoing basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills, and can stay organised in a busy healthcare environment. Previous reception or customer service experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
About the Role
As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing outstanding customer service while assisting with the day-to-day running of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to email enquiries.
- Schedule and manage appointments.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry.
- Assist with general administrative and reception duties.
- Liaise with clinicians and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
- Keep the reception area tidy and well presented.
- Handle confidential patient information with professionalism.
- Assist with other duties as required.
About You
- Previous reception, customer service, or administration experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and well presented.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software.
- High attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a medical or allied health clinic is advantageous but not essential.
