CASUAL CLEANER — MUDGEE & SURROUNDING AREAS
The Tidy Nest Professional Cleaning Services is seeking reliable, trustworthy and detail-focused casual cleaners to join our growing local team.
We provide residential, commercial, short-stay accommodation, end-of-lease and detailed cleaning services throughout Mudgee and surrounding areas.
This position is suitable for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates reliably and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Job type: Casual
Location: Mudgee NSW and surrounding areas
Hours: Variable according to client bookings, with no guaranteed minimum weekly hours
Shifts may be available during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Availability across different times is an advantage, but applicants do not need to be available every day.
Casual employees may decline shifts when offered. However, once a shift has been accepted, assigned and confirmed, the employee is expected to attend and complete it. If illness or an emergency prevents attendance, the manager must be notified as soon as possible so replacement coverage can be arranged.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and workplace facilities
- Dust, wipe and disinfect appropriate surfaces and touchpoints
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
- Clean toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, fixtures and kitchen surfaces
- Complete residential, commercial and short-stay turnover checklists
- Follow client-specific priorities and company cleaning procedures
- Use cleaning products, equipment and PPE safely
- Follow product labels, safety data sheets and supervisor instructions
- Complete digital checklists, time records and authorised completion photographs
- Report damage, hazards, maintenance issues, low supplies and client concerns immediately
- Protect client privacy, keys, alarm codes and property-access information
- Travel between client locations
- Work independently after completing the required training and supervised shifts
- Assist with other reasonable duties appropriate to the position
Suitable employees may also be offered opportunities to assist with sales, advertising, community promotion, specialist cleaning or team-leader responsibilities. Any additional duties will be discussed and agreed upon separately.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A strong record of reliability and punctuality
- Clear and timely communication
- A current driver licence
- Reliable access to a registered and appropriately insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel within Mudgee and surrounding areas
- A smartphone with reliable contact access
- Legal working rights in Australia
- Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
- Ability to safely perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, bending, reaching and carrying cleaning equipment
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check if required
- Respect for client confidentiality and private property
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
Cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. Training can be provided to a dependable applicant with the right attitude.
