We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, producing precision components, performing quality checks, and ensuring machines are operated safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines including CNC lathes, mills, and machining centres.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and job instructions.
- Load and unload materials and components into CNC machines.
- Set up machines, tooling, work offsets and cutting parameters as required.
- Monitor machining operations and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Conduct measurements and quality inspections using verniers, micrometers and other measuring equipment.
- Identify machining defects, tool wear and machine issues and report them appropriately.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance and tool changes.
- Follow production schedules and meet required output and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, machinists and other production team members.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a CNC Machine Operator, CNC Machinist or similar manufacturing role.
- Experience operating CNC machinery in a production environment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling and machining processes.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience with CNC programming or editing G-code.
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Siemens or Mazak.
- Experience with CNC turning, milling or multi-axis machining.
- Trade qualification in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Fitting and Machining, or CNC Machining.
- Forklift licence or other relevant machinery tickets.

Pay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
