Bethanie Housing Ltd, a subsidiary of the Bethanie Group, is a registered community housing provider that owns and manages affordable and appropriate accommodation including apartments, townhouses, and villas for seniors in Perth and regional WA.
Bethanie Housing Limited (BHL) is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Communications Specialist to lead strategic communications and stakeholder engagement that supports BHL’s development pipeline, organisational growth and strategic objectives.
This is a hands-on, outcomes-focused role working closely with the CEO to lead strategic communications and stakeholder engagement across BHL's development pipeline. You will help strengthen BHL's reputation, support key partnerships and ensure clear, consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer - BHL
- 12 month fixed-term contract position, 0.8FTE based at our West Perth office
- Flexible working arrangements, including working from home
- We attend the office (or site) a minimum of three days per week

Key responsibilities
- Lead communications and stakeholder engagement for priority development projects.
- Develop communications frameworks, protocols, tools and templates.
- Prepare communications, briefings and engagement materials for key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic communications, media and reputation management advice.
- Support funding, partnership and market positioning initiatives.
About you
You are a strategic communications professional who combines strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to deliver practical outcomes. Comfortable working with executives, Boards, government and community stakeholders, you can translate complex issues into clear, compelling messaging and advice.
You bring extensive experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, corporate affairs or a related field, ideally within property, housing, development, government or community services environments. You are known for your sound judgement, strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
