Transition to Perioperative Practice Program – Royal North Shore Hospital, Anaesthetics/Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU)

This exciting program is designed for ward, critical care or procedural based nurses who are looking to expand their clinical expertise, embrace new challenges, and develop specialist skills in a highly rewarding environment. Throughout the program, you'll be supported every step of the way by our experienced Registered Nurses, Nursing Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, ensuring you have the guidance and mentorship to succeed.
RNSH Operating Theatres comprises 21 operating theatres and performs more than 12,000 operations annually. Specialties include Cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, Intervention neuro radiology (INR), vascular, Upper Gastrointestinal and colorectal, orthopaedic and trauma, hands, urology, plastics, ENT, endocrine, breast, ophthalmology, gynaecology and obstetric. As the state receiving centre for burns and major spinal trauma, and a major teaching hospital within Northern Sydney Local Health District, you'll gain exposure to surgical specialties and experiences that few nurses have the opportunity to be part of.

Eligibility

A minimum of 18 months' clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Currently employed in an inpatient ward, critical care or procedural area

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Currently employed in an inpatient ward, critical care or procedural area, with a minimum of 18 months' clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
