About the role
Little Bird in Barton is looking for an experienced barista to join our team.
We are looking for someone to work fixed hours (preferably full time) Monday to Friday.
This is a front of house position focused on great coffee, customer service and supporting the smooth day to day operation of the café. You’ll work alongside a supportive team where a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are highly valued.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee with latte art and other range of beverages.
- Operating coffee machines, grinders, and ensuring correct coffee calibration
- Deliver warm and excellent customer service
- Taking customer orders and serving food and beverages promptly
- Handling cash transactions and using the POS system
- Collaborating with the kitchen and Front of House team for a seamless dining experience
- Keep the bar area clean, organised, and well‑stocked
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
What we're looking for
- A happy, friendly, and positive team member
- An experienced Barista have worked in a fast pace environment before
- Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavour profiles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele in a friendly and professional manner
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in coffee preparation and presentation
- Passionate for coffee
