All-Rounder Kitchen Hand (Cooking & Frying) — Fresh Meal Production
We're a wholesale Asian meal manufacturer based in Forrestfield. We cook and pack fresh meals that go out to supermarkets and independent stores right across Perth and regional WA. Our kitchen is Halal and HACCP certified, and we work as a close team to get orders out on time.
We've got a few openings coming up. Everyone starts as a kitchen hand so we can see where your strengths are, and from there we'll put you in the right role, whether that's cook, fryer, or all-rounder kitchen hand. You don't need fancy qualifications for this job. What matters is that you've got real hands-on experience, a can-do attitude, and you're not afraid of a busy day. Some days you'll be at the stove prepping, cooking and frying, other days you'll be on the packing line weighing, sealing and labelling meals ready for delivery. Cleaning down as you go is part of the job too.
What you'll be doing
- Helping cook, fry and prep meals from our recipes
- Keeping to portion and weight standards
- Packing, weighing, sealing and labelling meals for orders
- Keeping your work area clean and following food safety routines
- Taking direction from the team and pitching in wherever you're needed
What we're after
- Hands-on cooking and frying experience (commercial kitchen, catering, or a busy home kitchen you know well)
- Comfortable working at a fast pace and staying tidy while you do it
- A can-do attitude and someone who's happy to take directions
- Food safety and hygiene experience
- Someone who can commit to regular hours and turn up reliably
- Happy to work as part of a team
- No formal qualifications needed, your experience is what counts
The details
- Based in Forrestfield
- You'll need to be available on our production days, which are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
- The role starts as casual, with the view to move to part-time once you've settled in and shown you can commit to the hours
- As we grow and add production on other days, there's potential for this to become a full-time role
- Early starts, so you'll need reliable transport
- Pay is in line with the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Manufacturing Award.
