We're looking for someone to join our beverage team across Etta and Daphne. This role would suit someone who loves being on the floor, enjoys talking to people about wine without making it intimidating, and is just as happy jumping behind the bar to make a round of martinis.
Our beverage program is built around curiosity, generosity and creating memorable experiences. We love introducing guests to great wines, our own cocktails, local producers and something they may not have discovered before. Whether you're pouring a special bottle at the table or making a perfectly balanced Martini behind the bar, we believe every drink should make a guest feel looked after.
We have a simple philosophy that runs through everything we do: give a warm welcome and make it feel like home. We want people to walk through the door feeling relaxed and leave feeling like they've been genuinely cared for.
We're proud of what we've built, but we know great restaurants are only ever as good as the people in them. That's why we're looking for someone who is kind, curious, hardworking and genuinely loves hospitality. Someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge without ego, cares about the details and is always looking to learn.
You'll split your time between the floor and the bar, recommending wine, guiding guests through our beverage list and making cocktails when service calls for it. You'll work closely with Sam Peasnell and Ashley Boburka to create a seamless experience from the first drink to the last.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a sommelier or in a beverage-focused role within a quality restaurant.
- Is confident recommending and serving wine, and enjoys sharing knowledge with guests.
- Can comfortably step behind the bar and make classic cocktails to a high standard.
- Has a genuine interest in wine, spirits and hospitality, and is always looking to learn more.
- Is calm under pressure and enjoys the pace of a busy service.
- Works well as part of a team and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
We're a small, independent business, which means you'll work closely with the people who own and run the restaurants. You'll be trusted with responsibility, supported to grow and encouraged to help shape the beverage experience across both venues.
