About the Role
Enhallow Farm Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Agricultural and Agritech Technician to support our crop and livestock operations. The role involves technical fieldwork, data collection, monitoring production systems, operating farm machinery, and assisting with animal health, nutrition, and biosecurity programs. This position aligns with ANZSCO 311112 – Agricultural and Agritech Technician
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect soil, crop and livestock samples and assist with testing, monitoring and analysis to support agricultural production.
- Monitor crop growth, livestock health, environmental conditions and production systems, identifying issues affecting productivity and quality.
- Assist with crop establishment, harvesting and livestock nutrition programs to optimise farm performance.
- Support livestock breeding activities and assist with animal health, vaccination and biosecurity procedures.
- Monitor and assist in pest, weed and disease identification and implement appropriate control measures.
- Operate, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot agricultural machinery, farm equipment and monitoring devices.
- Assist in operating agricultural technology systems, including farm management software, sensors, monitoring devices and data collection equipment.
- Collect, analyse and maintain production data and prepare reports to support farm management decisions.
- Maintain accurate records relating to production, livestock, compliance and environmental management.
- Liaise with agronomists, veterinarians, suppliers and farm management to support efficient farm operations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS), biosecurity and environmental management requirements.
Skills & Qualifications Required
Mandatory:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in agricultural or farm operations.
- Strong knowledge of crop and livestock production systems.
- Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret agricultural data.
- Competence in operating farm machinery and agricultural equipment.
- Understanding of WHS, biosecurity, and environmental compliance.
Desirable:
- Experience with precision agriculture technologies.
- Knowledge of Australian farming systems and livestock welfare standards.
- Current driver’s licence.
