Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed tertiary referral hospital delivering high-quality healthcare to Central Queensland, including state-of-the-art integrated cancer care services. The Anaesthesia Department supports four operating theatres, two procedure rooms and an 8-bed Intensive Care/High Dependency Unit, providing specialist care across a broad range of surgical specialties including obstetrics, orthopaedics, general surgery, ENT, ophthalmology and more. Accredited for specialist training, the department is committed to education, research and clinical excellence, with a strong multidisciplinary team supporting anaesthesia training, acute pain management, preadmission services and procedural sedation.

Deliver exceptional specialist care by providing high-quality anaesthesia services across a wide range of surgical specialties, including acute pain management, pre-anaesthetic assessment and procedural sedation.

About you:
Hold the required specialist qualifications, including MBBS (or equivalent), AHPRA specialist registration (or eligibility) in Anaesthesia and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrate extensive clinical expertise across a broad range of anaesthetic services, with the ability to independently deliver safe, high-quality specialist care throughout the patient journey.
Excel in communication and teamwork, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clear, accurate clinical documentation and delivering exceptional patient care, including in emergency situations.
Provide clinical leadership by contributing to a collaborative team environment, supporting service delivery and actively participating in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $562,473 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary rate between $265,550 - $281,545 p.a. (L25 - L27)
A salary rate between $222,059 - $257,932 p.a. (L18 - L24)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
