We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Hand and Event Assistant to join our dynamic team! If you’re energetic, organized, and ready to dive into a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you.
Role Overview
This role is hands-on, assisting with both kitchen operations and event coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure smooth, high-quality events and cooking classes that leave a lasting impact on our customers.
The Role: Kitchen Hand and Event Assistant:
- Kitchen Support & Cleaning: Help with kitchen set-up. Wash dishes, cookware and utensils during and after classes, and keep the kitchen clean and organised.
- Customer Engagement: Welcome customers, assist with check-in and help create a friendly and enjoyable experience throughout the class or event.
- Event Set-up & Pack-down: Help set up cooking stations, equipment and event areas before sessions, and pack everything down afterwards.
- Payments & Check-in: Assist with customer check-in and process payments through the POS system when required.
- Instagram & Content: Capture simple photos and videos during classes and assist with Instagram Stories. You should be comfortable with the basics, such as adding music, captions, text, tags and mentions. Advanced social media skills are not required.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Some background in hospitality, event support, or kitchen work is preferred.
- Customer Service Skills: A friendly, outgoing personality to interact with customers and team members.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with software like Square and Rezdy, or a willingness to learn.
- Reliable: Ability to work weekends and have flexibility with shifts (Saturday and Sunday primarily).
- Driver’s License: Know how to drive! (not compulsory)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
